Message From the Pastor
Welcome!
St. Paul’s is a Christian church and multi-faceted ministry driven by a love and appreciation for God’s Word. We believe that the whole Bible is God’s own thoughts and words. We are also a community church. Our goal is to meet the needs of those around us by sharing God’s love.
Biography for Pastor Keith Free:
Pastor Keith Free is the son of Gerald and Judy Free. Jerry was a WELS pastor for 42 years and went to heaven in Feb. of 2008. Judy continues to live in Neenah. Keith was born in Burke SD and lived in Bonsteel SD, Hadar NE, and Omaha NE. During this time, he attended Lutheran Elementary Schools, Northwestern Preparatory School, Northwestern College, and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, graduating from WLS in May of 1982.
After graduating from WLS, Pastor Free was assigned as a Tutor (Dorm Supervisor) at Northwestern College. Two years later Pastor Free was assigned to Peace of Our Savior Lutheran in New Carlisle OH, at the time a mission church. In the fall of 1990 he accepted a Call to Divine Word Lutheran in Plover WI.
In the fall of 2010 he accepted a Call to serve as the Administrator for the Board for Home Missions. In January of 2022 he accepted a Call to serve as pastor at St. John’s Lutheran in Mukwonago WI.
Keith and Rachel nee Kaesmeyer were married on August 12, 1984. They have been blessed with 5 children; Joshua, Caleb, Micah, Sarah, and Lydia. Josh is married to Joey (Bivens) and Caleb is married to Kristin (Steinbreener). Josh and Joey have 3 children; Eloise, Olive, and Henry. Caleb and Kristin have three children; Clayton, Aaron and Judith Joy.
Rach is the daughter of Harris and Thelma Kaesmeyer. Kaese served in ministry as a Tutor at Dr. Martin Luther College, WELS pastor, and Michigan Lutheran Seminary Professor (Saginaw MI), serving in ministry for close to 40 years. Kaese went to heaven in August of 2010. Thelma (Dots) went to heaven in February of 2021. Rach attended Lutheran Elementary Schools, Michigan Lutheran Seminary, and Dr. Martin Luther College, graduating in 1979. She was assigned as a Tutor to Martin Luther Preparatory School in Prairie du Chien WI for 2 years and accepted a Call to teach at Shoreland Lutheran High School in Somers WI where she taught for 3 years.
Since December of 2010 Pastor Free and Rachel have been members at St. John’s. They look forward to continuing to grow in their faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ.
